“Irresistible” reveals how modern technology is intentionally engineered to capture and keep our attention. Alter explains the psychology, business incentives, and neurological mechanisms behind digital addiction, and offers strategies to regain control. What I found interesting, is that many tech executives limit or forbid their own children’s exposure to the technologies they build, suggesting they understand their addictive nature intimately.
I highly recommend this book!
